The above not only comes out of my mouth every to to three minutes, often more like two to three times a minute, I often find myself muttering it when I'm nowhere near a phone. Yes, it's back to the grind with another reception job, working for a company that creates accountancy software for Macs. It's quite pleasant here. People actually know my name, and the view is rather lovely. The panoramic window behind me is on the 6th floor and I can see from North Acton, past Wembley Stadium, the weird Hindu temple in Alperton, the church steeple of Harrow on the Hill, over to Horsenden Hill in Perivale and a small brick building which may, or may not be, my house. It's a shame the Wembley arch doesn't light up at the moment as I'm sure it would be looking quite good around 4pm.

Not alot going on at the moment. There aren't enough students enrolled for my English classes to begin, but I'm glad to say that my Japanese course still seems to be running next week, so expect me to whittle on at you in pidgen Japanese soon. Meanwhile, Gideon is hard at work, doing lots od reheasals in preparation for a gig in Cannes at the end of the month. Seems like that band have wriggled their way out of the Sony contract and are back on the market. I read a review of Fiona Apple's new album today and discovered she was also with Sony/BMG. Best out of it by all accounts, though I'm sure her ridiculous album title didn't help.

I've been ferreting away at my second HPL story and I'm quite pleased with it, even though it needs a good bit of editing and re-writing. It's one of the first things I've written in a while that I actually feel quite confident about. I may even see about putting together my own little chapbook of the first two stories in the series. Now there's some random confidence for you.
