Adventures in the Looking Glass

Went out on Friday night with Helen. Didn't drink too much but ended up mixing wine with one beer and spent yesterday feeling shitty. Went shopping with Polly in Reading - bought some new cords and oggled the young man in the shop - yummy. Tried on a bikini which had flames all over it but decided I need more skin coverage! Came home and had to rescue the kitten off the roof of the porch - these things always happen when the olds aren't about.

My back still hurts from last week. Knowing my bloody luck I've probably done something awful to my spine. And the weird thing is that the top of my nose has swollen up. I don't remember hitting it. Bodies are WEIRD. Anyway, I'm going on holiday in three weeks and I can't afford to have something wrong with me as it's been long in the planning and very expensive!!

Finished my Pro Jekt artcile. 1820 words. V. Good.

Feel crap. Had a blinding headache yesterday that came on while I was at work in the bookshop. It seemed to subside for a bit but then came back later with a vengeance and was so painful I felt like puking. I sat in the living clawing at my head until I stole some paracetamol from Gideon. Watched CSI, ate some pizza and went to bed. Having been in pain for the majority of the evening I was not in a good mood so went to bed hating the world.

Woke up this morning at 5am and hated the world even more. Lay in bed until 10am reading a biog of Toulouse-Lautrec and the fin-de-siecle (or fan-de-siec as JD Cant taught me to say). Got up, poured milk onto my cereal only to find there wasn't any milk in the bottle. Swore a lot and threw things (none of them broke fortunately). Tidied my room, felt better. Bought milk and chocolate, felt better. Drank tea, felt better. Stijn from Star Industry has just e-mailed me his replies to my questions so I can start the article which has to be in two weeks!!!

Lou is coming over later for our weekly popcorn fest of West Wing and 24 (maybe X-files if it's any good)! One week to go until I finish work - or five days if we're really counting!
