West Memphis Three

blacklillyThere are quite a few things in life which make me angry, but few of them involve the lives of other people. I generally am far too self obsessed to care about the injustices handed out to others, but the case of the West Memphis Three makes my blood boil.
Today's Guardian has an article on them which focuses on the forthcoming DVD release of the two documentaries about them. This is released on June 20th, and previews at the Curzon Soho next Friday before going on tour. I suggest you all get down to see it if it shows near you, or just buy the DVDs if you can't.
You will also want to pick up a copy of the excellent "Last Pentacle of the Sun", a collection of short stories illustrated by Clive Barker and featuring Poppy Z Brite, Adam Roberts and many others, created in aid of the WM3.
If these men are guilty then they at least deserve a fair trial, and if they are innocent (which I tend to believe they are) they deserve their freedom as soon as possible.
