blacklilly: (moody)
It's Monday, which means Charlie Brooker.   Oddly, I spend much of my time lately using my iPod to compile mix CDs for my fellow alcoholics.  Currently I'm working on some "techno" CDs, which aren't really techno at all, but I can just lie and say it's "English techno".

I should, at 10.24am, have been out of the door and on my way to Omotesando, but I can't bring myself to do anything this morning.  Another bout of insomnia last night had me up until 4am or so, and then I still woke up at 8.30.  Would somebody put me out of my misery and send me some Ambien?  The plan in Omotesando is to pick up some new trainers.  I may do it this evening instead, but i can't stand the thought of going now.

Anyway, more later, I'll tell you about Circe Du Soleil.

Later...

Went to bellydance.  Go my arse-kicked for no other reason than a lack of sleep causing my muscles to hate me.

Went to Omotesando.  Had to put up with a smelly-baby being held near my face for ten minutes.  Got lost in Omotesando but eventually found the New Balance shop and got a pair of running shoes.  Yes, you did indeed  read that right.  Running shoes.  For running.  When the bastards won't let you in the gym, you need to find other ways to wear yourself out.  Needless to say, at the thought of exercise, my knee has begun to twinge.  Stupid knee.

Err... other than that I've just had to drag myself through the day.  It's only now that I seem to be perking up, which doesn't bode well for tonight's sleep.

Oh yeah, the circus.

Tomorrow, ne?

Possibly one of the most stupid and gory horror films I've seen lately, though "The Midnight Meat Train" is up there on the stupid front too.  In fact, it was so stupid and bloody, that I had to get screen shots.  It's a good thing I was watching on VLC.

The Tokyo police have become sadistic bastards, wrist-cutting is all the high-school rage (it even makes your blood taste better), and the chief of police keeps an amputee prisoner as his personal "bitch" in every sense of the word.  When it wasn't being silly, it rather reminded me of one of [livejournal.com profile] greygirlbeast 's stitchfreak stories, the one about the number 17 (the name escapes me).  There was even a living, breathing human chair.  However, my favourite was the girl with a serious case of vagina dentata:

Not sure if half-human, half-crocodile images are work-safe or not, but I doubt anyone one my flist would mind.

I also liked this scene:

in which our heroine chops off a bloke's hands for molesting her on the train.  And yes, that is a shower of blood.

Hmmm, anyway.  That was 90 minutes of my life in which I could have been doing something better.  But it made me laugh.  Ha ha ha ha ha.
