A Very Merry UnBirthday To Me
Jul. 10th, 2006 07:50 pmIt was my birthday on Saturday. I had a good day, possibly the best birthday I've had in a while.
Mum and I went shopping in London. I got some shoes, some new make-up (and a make-over from TWO make-up artists who called me 'luvvy' and 'darling' alot), a webcam, a new bag, some perfume... and loads of other stuff. I took mum to the Japan center on Piccadilly and giggled silently whilst watching her trying to eat rice with chopsticks. OK, I wasn't that silent, but she has bought a pair so she can practise the old chopstick skills and save face. I also thought it would be good to practise my Japanese whilst I was there, but I got all shy and forgot how to ask for the bill. On the way back we picked up Gideon, got home drank champagne, drank rose then ran out to the Nazmah tandoori in Farnham Common for curry fun.
Saturday saw possibly the largest single turnout for my birthday since I was 8. 12 people turned up! It was great that everyone managed to make it (my birthday is often plagued by important people being on holiday), and particularly that Justin and Liz managed to make it all the way from Virginia, USA, just in time for the festivities.
Mum and I went to see POTC2 on Friday night. It rocked. I can't write a review as, well, I should have done it on Friday when it was fresh in my head. Hey ho, I'll just have to go see it again.
I've finally got round to getting MSN Messenger for my Mac, so I can chat to all my MSN buddies after a long hiatus.
And errrr, that's it. Pictures of the party will be up some time in the future (i.e. when I get the film developed).
