The mousehunt continues afoot. Gideon found droppings in the kitchen and in the living room. Strange that only Gideon finds this evidence. He even claims to have heard the mouse scrabbling about while he was up late the other night. I haven't heard anything, and I've only seen the droppings he pointed out to me. I'm wondering whether I should have made sure that the mouse was definitely real when this thing kicked off. While I was reading about existentialist theories of criminal behaviour earlier in the year I came to the conclusion that Gid was having an existential crisis manifesting itself in an obsession with the local squirrels. I think it then moved on to an obsession with the people smugglers who live next door, and now they've gone its moved on to mice. He needs a hobby. Or a job...#

... which was one of our many discussions of the weekend. It's a very long-winded discussion, upon which Gideon kept interrupting me, so I lost my train of thought on numerous occasions, so I'm not really in the mood to tell you about our thoughts yet.

The allotment continues to look ever more sad. We harvested the last of the toms yesterday and are eating our favourite tomato and stilton tart with rocket for dinner tonight in celebration. We've got tonnes of marrows lying about, which people keep telling us to pick. I can't stomach the thought of more marrow. Unless it's in my yummy chocolate marrow cake.

Went to Camden with Helen on Saturday to check out wedding dress options. We went to Fairy GothMother and checked out the corsets and the rubber. Annoyingly, I didn't know that Manic Panic is now being sold out of Cyberdog (and how many times did I walk past?). Not that I should be dying my hair (on pain of death according to my hairdresser), but I also want to check out thier make-up. Well, we're going back in a few weeks. I bought a pair of black lace up boots, which looked rather good with my stripey socks and long shorts. The joy of the credit card. I feel more and more sick with every bill.
