Cold cold cold
Jan. 20th, 2004 10:02 pmI'm being a real spas this evening - I keep closing my browser, and I'm getting really narky for no reason.
I've not been well since Sunday, on the morning of which I woke up with this throbbing "thing" on my bottom lip. This fucking cold sore crept in from nowhere and was pulsing merrily at me all day. I hid behind my hair for much of the day and felt too shit to go to karate. Took the dog for a walk around a graveyard and then watched my dad clean up mole hills. Came home and moped. I also seem to have got my pseudo-consumptive cough back.
This all may have something to do with running around in the cold on Saturday night. I went to see Sikth at the LA2. Justin very kindly put Helen and I on the guest list so we had a nice free evening watching some very cool bands and remarking on how we didn't recall Justin singing that well at school. Most spooky was his fan boy in the queue in front of us. This kid had the same haircut and earring as Justin, and it was too much of a coincidence to be anything else but a devotee. He he he.
On Sunday night I snuck out to see "Lost in Translation". I thought it was really good. My favourite bit was Japan. Just Japan. Bullet trains and sushi and crazy karaoke. I also liked the bit where we watch the characters through the reflection of the hotel window.
