Go to this website: Badgers . Drugs will not be needed.

Monday night I went over to Jen's house and we watched Momento. My ex, Rob, turned up with Jenny's ex, Martin, and a couple of other people I've not seen for a few years. It was nice to see Rob again. Jen wasn't so sure about Martin, given that he hasn't actually spoken to her since they broke up about six years ago.

We then watched Donnie Darko. I fell asleep and then dragged myself to bed. Jen stayed up and watched Pirates of the Caribbean. I don't think i have the stamina for three films in one night anymore.

Went out last night with my new manager and assistant manager. Went to a pub called The Carpenter's Arms which has three HUGE cats wandering around in it. Got a bit squiffy and then had funny dreams about a flying serial killer. He looked a bit like Spawn.

Gideon has moved down to London but is currently kipping in the recording studio. Hopefully I'll get to see him on Saturday night!

Pinched this from [livejournal.com profile] fluffymark who got it from some sort of kitten type affair (sounds great!) at [livejournal.com profile] marnameeow.

What are you currently reading?

Life Among the Pirates - David Cordingly

How long have you been reading it (or them)? How much longer do you think it will take you to read it?

Since last Thursday. Will probably finish it by this weekend.

Is it a gobble-in-one-session sort of book, or a read slowly through book, or a pick a page at random now and then book?

One to take at a leisurely pace as there's lots to learn. It's well set out though, so you could easily dip in if you wanted.

Do you ration books and force yourself to read them slowly? What books have you done this with recently?

Actually I am making a point of being leisurely with this one. Generally I read quite quickly - though I average one book a week.

Do you sometimes *wish* that you'd rationed a book when you get to the end of it?

I stormed through Donna Tartt's "Little Friend" and then wished I had savoured it a bit more. I'll go back and read it again.

What was the last book you bought?

The one I'm reading.

Do you know what book you're going to buy next?

Possibly "Heroines and Harlots" by David Cordingly. 50% off in the sale!

How many borrowed books are sitting on your shelves?

Two. A Witches Guide to Life by Kala Trobe and Freud's "The Uncanny". Borrowed from Slough branch of Ottakars.

When will they get given back?

When I next pop in for a visit.

How many books of yours are currently on other people's shelves?

None, that I know about. I very rarely lend out books anymore.

When do you expect them to return?

As soon as possible normally. I work on library terms - except you get arsey phone calls from me rather than fines. Though Lou bought me a new Flaubert once coz she bent the front cover!
