That's where I am. Sitting in bed, trying to sum up the energy to get out of it, get showered and get out of my apartment. Instead I'm here trying to download "The Lost Room". This will be the third attempt as the other two had some sort of problem. The first one didn't open, the second one was "killed" and this one seems to be having a snooze at the moment. I'm downloading via Torrentspy, using the Tomato Torrent client, as UTorrent doesn't appear to have one for Macs (thanks for the recommendations, Justin). I also see the seed numbers dropping off the longer I download something. Am getting bored now, and slightly frustrated. Is there an idiot-proof guide to torrenting, or should I just soldier on?
What I should be doing is taking a walk to check out Ina Sports Park, which I hope has a good view at the top, and then heading off to the supermarket to get some food. Though I have bits and pieces, I can't think of a recipe for edamame, apples and garlic.
Last night was the school Xmas party. It consisted, as we suspected it would, of myself, Sam, Yasuko and one student. Still, we drank beer, ate food etc. I tried oysters deep-fried in panko breadcrumbs. Very nice they were too. After that, Sam and I headed to our regular snack-bar, Merry, which was full of drunken men who seemed highly amused at my presence. One of them actually made a big thing of me singing some karaoke for them, so I did White Christmas. He then proceeded to flop across the bar and go to sleep for the best part of an hour. More on that later perhaps, I'm now going to drink my third cup of tea of the day.
