Of all the places to go
hils ends up in Tang Hall at Steve and George's house. How small the world really is. This the house Gid used to live in whilst in York. I used to go up there to visit, and remember the hot tub in the back garden being a muddy hole, so the pictures of it are quite impressive. I particularly like the Pirate Bar at the side.
Work work work this week, and not a lot else. I did go out to The Old Ticket Hall in Windsor last night. It was the last day of Ascot yesterday so there were tonnes of people poncing about with dead birds on their heads. I wouldn't mind if all wasn't just one big masquerade - people parading about like they're rich, when really their dress cost £75 from Warehouse and the 'feathers' on their heads come from Claire's Accessories. I'm never going to Ascot: first of all - I hate horse racing, second of all - I hate phonies.
On the plus side - today I had the first courgettes from the allotment, complete with courgette flowers, I stuffed the flowers with mozzarella cheese and then deep fried the whole thing in a crunchy peppery batter. The courgettes had only been picked 45 minutes before they were eaten. It was delicious, For tonight's tea I have broad beans picked fresh today - minus the black fly, which seem to be all over them.
