Sleepy Saturday
Jun. 17th, 2006 12:29 pmWhat is wrong with me lately? All I want to do is sleep. I got home at 5pm last night, told myself to have a lie down for 5 minutes (as I'd been thinking about how nice sprawling across my bed with the fan...fanning me would be), and woke up at 6.30pm. I don't know whether it's the sudden increase in working hours, the heat, or the antihistamines, but I haven't felt so exhausted since February and March when I spent most of the days (and nights) screaming and crying.
I'm meant to be having a productive day today, as tomorrow I'm heading off to Brighton for fish 'n chips, mooching around the Lanes and (hopefully) much drinking of cold alcoholic goodness with my mother. My dad is doing a charideeee bike ride from London to Brighton so we're going down to meet him at the finish line and laugh at his sunburn. I do like Brighton. I like it alot. I have even considered moving there, but the cold, spooky climes of the Yorkshire coast are much more up my proverbial street. Which is another thing I must add to the list. I have to organise a little research trip up to Whitby for a series of HPL-inspired stories I've been working on. Things have ground to halt since the events of February, but the itch is returning (and no jokes about getting some cream for it!)... slowly.
Later today I'm having my hair cut and dyed - the plan being that I'll be a lovely Jean Grey-type vixen for the summer. If only I was one of the X-Men and could fit into one of those (frankly quite daft) catsuits as well.
Was checking out POTC pictures a few minutes ago. Davy Jones looks like something out of Innsmouth, don't you think? In honour of this, I made a little icon. Now onto lesson plans.
