The days fly by
Feb. 9th, 2006 03:27 pmI've been having a rather nice week, lying in bed until about 10am and then cycling down to Ealing to teach in the afternoons. Of course, doing nothing much doesn't pay well, so I will have to think up something else to do to bring the money in, bugging the local temp aganecies being one of them.
Cycling has been quite a shock, I was woefully deceiving myself about just how fit I am. I had to get off my bike to go up a hill yesterday. Useless.
The mornings have been quite productive though - lesson plans, and the forth version of a short story. It's about 3000 words shorter than the original and a little more tense. I'm leaving it to settle for a few days before going back over it... again.
Well, not a lot else going on. This weekend I'll be getting the allotment started again, sowing broad beans, leeks, sweet peas and dahlias, and putting in some last minute orders for things I've not had the money to get. A muddy time awaits!
