Who'd be a receptionist, eh? That's what I'm up to for the next week. I've been here since 8am and I must say it is possibly the least challenging job I've ever done. My mum called me up and said I had a sexy telephone voice, so I'm going to smoke 40 fags and get a good growl going for the rest of my time here (or maybe not). I'm currently auditing architectural plans, which basically means I'm looking at plans and cross-referencing page numbers. Joy. I was rather hoping to get some writing done but that may not be today...
I finally got round to re-reading the sequel to "The Horror In West Cliff". It needs a lot of work. The characters are a bit wooden and there are bits which don't quite add up. I think it may also need another couple thousand words. Keeping in mind this was meant to be s SHORT story, it's clocking in at about 8000 words at the moment.
Received my copy of
greygirlbeast's new book "To Charles Fort With Love" yesterday. I've read the Foreword, but not the rest yet. I'm still reading "The Sign of The Four" at the moment, which I decided would be appropriate to break the reading fast with, as I made so many references to good ol' Sherlock in my lessons.
