My Brain Has Fled
Dec. 21st, 2004 01:18 pmYesterday I was meant to pay the council tax bill. (One week in the house and we get a council tax bill. Damn your blasted eyes Ealing Council.) I brought the bill to work, but I didn't bring my account details. So today I have to open a separate bank account for Gid and I to pay the bills from. Gid was meant to do this as he has infinite time, but hasn't as it might involve him having to give his details to unethical banks (find me ethical one). For this I also need my account details. Yet again I have forgotten them. Doh!
I'm also dubious of having any bills coming out of my account as I'm not too convinced that Gideon will have the money to pay them. He already owes me over £42.01 (anal, I know) and I'm starting to feel like a charity. He thinks I earn loads of money, but it's not actually much more than him. The difference is that I actually do get paid every month.
On a brighter note, our friends Ollie stopped by for a couple of days on his way home from Poland to Hull. Ol is a consumate yarn spinner and incredibly funny. We all had a nice mexican dinner, drank booze and watched "Bad Santa", which, and this is coming from me, is one of the most amusing Xmas films I've seen. No, actually the most amusing Xmas film as the majority suck.
Only a day and a half of work left and then six days devouring some Sherlock Holmes and H P Lovecraft.
