Ouch

I woke on Friday morning with a sore throat but thought nothing of it. On Friday night I couldn't sleep for more than a few hours at a time and last night I gave up and sat watching a program on tagging elephant seals at 4am because I could barely swallow. Not sure if it's tonsillitis or not. I've shone a torch down my throat but things just look really red, no white spots so that at least is good. I have lost my voice to the point where no one can make out what I'm saying and I occasionally do that weird screechy thing like a pubescent boy.

I've been whingey all day and cried all over Gideon when he went home this evening because he's been making me cups of tea and keeping me warm all weekend. I've had some ice cream and feel a bit better now but I'm not looking forward to the night ahead or having to go to work tomorrow.
