Saw "Pirates of the Caribbean" at last, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Have forgotten all memorable quotes except "But WHY is there no rum?" and "Wedding? I love weddings. Drinks all round." Might have to go and see it again when I'm in York next week.
Tom and I had dinner at Francesco's where a rowdy party-load of Italians were letting their children run amock. We ate the hugest pizza I've ever seen! Then we went back to see "Jeepers Creepers 2" which sucks. The script is awful and there................are too many..............long pauses when........they really should be be be be be be be getting on with the plot plot plot and not repeating words like "scotty" at high-pitched shrieks.
Was glad to hear to
hils kicked her flamer's butt. No one's sent me a nasty message yet (so don't get any ideas) so I'll take a leaf out of her Fluffy Files if I do.
Updated my website tonight with a couple of photos from my party. Looked like a prize heiffer in every photo so I avoided those with me in but you do get to see Evil Blodin the 'Most Evil Cat in the World'. Photos are right there.
What shall I read next? I fancy re-reading some Angela Carter, but I might do that while I'm away next week. I have Gath Nix's "Abhorsen"; Jim Crace "Being Dead"; Conan Doyle "The Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes"; or I could re-read "Return of the King"; or re-read "Lost Souls". Following "Pirates" I quite fancied "Treasure Island", it's been a LONG time since I read that.
Day off tomorrow. Swimming, reading, writing, hoovering, dog walking, cat grooming, and watching videos will all take place.
