Found this on the pop up menu. Have no recollection of writing it. Must have been Gideon or Dave when we all used my pooter.
I haven't been on-line for a while as I got a virus from somewhere and the pooter kept being shut down by the damn thing. Then I went on holiday. So I got back today and have got a new Norton Anti-Virus update which seems to have done the trick although I can no-longer receive or send messages on my bt e-mail account, which makes me wonder what else has been destroyed. By the way, apologies to anyone who got e-mails from me with attached viruses! It wasn't me!!
Went up to York for a couple of days - spent it walking the hot streets and getting blisters. Got sun burnt legs in Gid's garden on Sunday reading a great book called "House of Leaves" which is one of the most clever (and knowingly pretentious) horror-esque books I've ever read. Gave me the willies, and had to keep the light on at some points to stop myself thinking that I was lost in a black walled labyrinth!
Then I spent that week at Lumb Back in Heptonstall, that's near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. I spent the week working on the first chapter of a novel and then trying to sort the synopsis out without getting too confused about the timeslips, character name-changes etc. I might put the chapter on my website for you to read. Will let you all know when I get round to it.
Am off to the Granby/Granary (something with a G in) in Reading tonight for Tom's 21st birthday. It's some sort of gay bar, so I'm deliberating whether to dress up or not - it's not like I'm going to pull anyone is it? Might just dress up for the hell of it, why go out and not get dressed up?
Type O's new album is out sometime soon. Maybe this week just gone. Will have to look out for it.
