Technology Sucks!!!
Feb. 9th, 2003 07:44 pmOh! Maybe we should all go back to the early 20th Century when all one had was the wireless! Firstly, the TV keeps turning itself off - now I would say the TV has taste but it did it during The West Wing last night - not amused. Then I inherit my sister's old TV which won't talk to my DVD player in colour so I swear a lot and swop leads on things and finally give up. So I'm fiddling about with my CV thinking about jobs etc when my CD player starts jumping and groaning all over my Gilles Petersen CD, so then I try Tool, and it doesn't like that either. It seems that technology is against me!! This doesn't bother me too much as I have fancied a new, smaller stereo for some time now... It'll be sods law that my computer will blow up, and then where will I be?! The only thing which never seems to go wrong is the radio.
I have been feeling very poor lately. It seems that everyone wants my money, and I still have three weeks to pay day! Dad also wants me to remove some of my books from my room, saying there is too uch weight on the floor and it might make the ceiling bend in the lounge. He can have anything else but my books. I'd rather anything else than my lovely books go in the loft.
Good news though, am going to see Rocky Horror at Wycombe Swan - am going to dress in heels and fishnets, and too much make-up - it will be luscious!
Am reading "Fingersmith" by Sarah Waters. It is fantastic. I don't want to put it down! You must read it. Now. Or else.
