Goth to hell
Apr. 10th, 2002 07:41 pmHad a crap dinner. Didn't want to eat it anyway - not sure why i bothered cooking it. Even my fried egg (note to self - BAD)was crap.
On a brighter note (cue sprakles) I made a list of some of the books I've read since Xmas:
James Ellroy - Black Dahlia (Murder/Crime)
Stephen King - On Writing (Murder/Horror/Writing)
Angela Carter - Several Perceptions (Well, Angela Carter)
Jeffery Ugenes - The Virgin Suicides (Suicide, Mental Illness)
Caitlin R Kiernan - Silk (Murder/Horror)
Peter Carey - True History of the Kelly Gang (Murder/Robbery)
Amanda Craig - In a Dark Wood (Fairy Tales/Mental Illness)
Ken Kesey - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Mental Illness/Suicide)
Poppy Z Brite - Drawing Blood (for the Nth time)(Comics/Hackers/Horror)
Eoin Colfer - Artemis Fowl (Fairies with Guns)
The Oxford Book of Gothic Tales (Murder/Mystery/Vampires/GOTH)
Carson McCullers - Reflections in a Golden Eye (Murder/Nipple Cutting/Obsession)
Not to mention all the swotting I did for my interview with Andrew Motion at the UEA - that included Simon Armitage, Wendy Cope, Neil Rollinson (READ HIM), George Szirtes etc etc etc. That's a lot of books but what do they say about me?
Oh, and by the way, I'm reading "Wind in the Willows" at the moment!!!
